Buttercup Baby Boutique
For Your Baby Today, For Their World Tomorrow
When I was pregnant with Mackenzie I stumbled across a message board about diapering your baby. I started reading and suddenly realized that these people were talking about cloth diapers! I read through a few posts and thought that is just wasn’t for me. We recycle, and try to be good to the environment but why would I use cloth diapers when disposables are so easy?
Mackenzie was born and I was using disposable diapers and wipes and hadn’t given it a second thought until I went to a La Leche League meeting when Mackenzie was a few months old. I was chatting with one of the mothers there about slings and carriers and she asked me if I used cloth diapers. I told her no, and she said that she started using them with her third child and she loves them. I thought that was nice, but still not for me.
She had piqued my curiosity, so I decided to search the internet to see what people’s reasons were for using cloth diapers. I found lots of reasons such as saving money, it is better for the environment, and it is better for the baby and would often decrease the occurrence of diaper rash. A light bulb went off! We had been battling diaper rash almost constantly for the past couple of months, and had to use diaper rash cream at every change in order to keep the rash under control. I figured it was worth a shot to help my daughter’s skin, so I ordered a few different kinds of cloth diapers to try out.
The first time I put a cloth diaper on Mackenzie, it gave me such a nice feeling to be putting something nice and soft next to her delicate skin instead of some paper and plastic. After that first day, we never went back! Her diaper rash went away and I have fallen in love with cloth diapers.
I had always thought that washing diapers and cloth wipes would be hard work, but I promise you, it is the easiest laundry that I do (and I hate to do laundry). There is no folding, hanging up or putting away of diapers in my house. They come out of the dryer and are put into a basket, where they stay until they are needed. The few loads I do of diapers a week by far outweigh having to run to the store and throw my money away week after week on diapers and wipes.
I have been so extremely happy with cloth diapers that I decided to purchase Buttercup Baby Boutique so that I can share the wonderful world of cloth diapers with everyone. I have put together a collection of diapers that I have tried and have used on my own baby with ease. There isn't anything in my collection on line that I haven't used on my own baby with success.
I want you to know I am not only here to help you get into a diaper that is right for your baby, but to help you with any questions or needs that may arise with the use of your diapers. Remember I am just an email away.
If you ever have any questions about your diapers or need anything please email me. I am always happy to assist in any way I can. Thanks Again!!!
Sincerely, Hope Wilson
